Local Weather and Tides

Tobago is just 11° north of the equator, and has a tropical climate. Average daytime temperatures are around 29°C (83°F), but it can get as hot as the mid 30s. The water temperature is a few degrees lower.

The island has two seasons: the dry season between December and May, and the rainy season between June and November.

Tobago is outside the main hurricane belt so provides a safe anchorage all the year round to visiting and resident yachts. On the Stormcarib website Tobago is ranked as one of the Caribbean islands with the least hurricane activity.
