John Stickland, Operations Director

John has been sailing for 20 years. Originally from England, he has spent the last four years cruising the North and South Atlantic on his 34ft Sparkman & Stephens. Destinations to date include; Europe, Africa, South America and extensive Caribbean cruising (Windward, Leeward, Virgins and ABC’s). He has covered approximately 30,000nm both single-handed and with crew. His sailing experience means he has knowledge of numerous yachting supply and service markets and he's seen first hand both global and local efficiencies and deficiencies, which has been both challenging and educational. John has a sound understanding of specialised marine systems from diesel and petrol engines to rigging and sail making. He has extensive working knowledge of many yacht systems, and has diagnosed and undertaken repairs and maintenance in countries with limited services. Email: john@sbms.co.tt

Junior Singh, Finance Director

Junior was born in Trinidad before moving to Tobago in 2008. Two years ago he became the duty manager of one of Tobago's top hotels. His extensive local financial and accounting experience are an invaluable asset to the company.

Ancil Pajotte, Diesel Engineer & Marine Electrics

Pajotte admits that he was born and raised in a garage, starting work on his first engine in his teens. He has thirty years experience in the industry, fifteen years of that working in the marine sector in Trinidad for amongst others Powerboats.

Alton, Diesel Technician

Alton has been a mechanic since the tender age of ten when he started working on car engines. He then moved to marine and has spent the last nine years working in that sector in Trinidad for a variety of companies including Peakes. He now lives full time in Tobago.

Clarence Soodeen, Domestic Transport Manager

Born in Trinidad, Clarence - who is known fondly as Bunny - makes sure all marine parts are couriered to the island as soon as possible. He also delivers the free copies of All at Sea, Caribbean Compass and Yacht Essentials.

Tony and Bago, Security Team

Tony is a native Tobagonian. He looks after beach security at Cable Beach, making sure dinghies left on the beach are safe. Away from the beach he is an artist.

Bago likes nothing more than sleeping in the shop, keeping one eye open. Bones are her favourite food and she can often be found down on the beach or outside Bago's Bar.
